CARE- Personal Passion. By Abdurrahman
Soccer
Do you know how to play soccer? It is one of the best games ever. Let me tell you about the rules, some soccer players and formations.
One of the rules are to never use your hands except if you are goalkeeping or for throw-ins. Throw-ins occur when the ball get kicked out of the side of the field. For throw-ins you have to use your hands and throw the ball to a player. Another reason to use your hands is to be a goalkeeper. Goalkeeping means to use your arms, legs or any other part of your body to block the ball from going in to the goalmouth. Corners are important because they happen when a player kicks the ball to their side to of the goal. Yellow cards and Red cards are dangerous. A player gets them when he tackles a player.
Now that you know some of the rules lets talk about some professional soccer players. My favourite is Wayne Rooney. He is number 10 for Manchester United and for England International. Other good players are Christiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr and Lionel Messi.
One of the best soccer formations are 4-4-2. The formation 4-5-1 is mostly good for counter attacking. Formations such as 2-3-5 is not known what it is good for. 4-3-3 is mostly for counterattacking and having the ball more than the other team.
Now that you know the rules, formations and some famous soccer players. You can go and have some fun playing soccer. International soccer is about 90 minutes and there are about 11 players per team. Now you know how to play soccer and play fairly.

My Problem Solving. By Abdurrahman
This is how I solved my problem. I used times tables to solve it. This is similar problem I came up with-
There are 12 rugby balls in the sport shed. The other 2/3 are soccer balls. How many soccer balls are there in the sport shed? Can you solve this using times tables?

Maths Problem. By Abdurrahman
Our maths problem this week was that we had to take a chicken, fox & corn across the stream. You can only take one thing but if you leave the chicken with the fox then the fox will eat the chicken. Leaving the chicken with the corn will result in the chicken eating the corn. I took the chicken because the fox would not do anything to the corn. Then I took the fox across but took the chicken back. I, then took the corn across. Finally I took the chicken across.

ANZAC Remembrance. By Abdurrahman
Today, at 11:30, right after the year seven and eight’s arrived back from Tech. We were told by Mrs Anderson to only eat our morning tea and not play. It was because of a special ceremony remembering the New Zealanders that died at Gallipoli 100 years ago all because of their Sergeants getting shot by Turkish snipers. Therefore, the orders weren't passed on so every soldier didn't know what to do, causing most of them to get killed or injured, and even then, because they were surrounded they couldn't even get to the infirmary to get treated! When Thomas and I arrived to do the music, Miss Kirkpatrick said that she would do it because we didn't have much time to practice and she wanted it to be perfect. So that meant that Thomas and I had stayed up to about 12:00 writing what we were going to do down on a document for nothing! At least we wouldn't have embarrassed ourselves by accidentally mucking it up. When we were all sitting down Mr Johnston and a woman in military clothes (Mr Johnston introduced her as Staff Sergeant Stacy). Patrick and Wiremu then put up the flag as Miss Kirkpatrick played the tune called The last stand. Mr Johnston and Staff Sergeant Stacy then gave speeches and then Miss Kirkpatrick then played rouse as Wiremu and Patrick put the flag up. Everybody went back to class but then Miss Kirkpatrick called us into Room 5 so Staff Sergeant Stacy could tell us about what she did. She explained that she was from Papatoetoe and she had joined when she was 19. She had then done missions to get her medals. Finally she left and everyone had lunch.

Abdurrahman- Term 1 Reflection 2015
This is my collage about term 1. The thing I find the most hardest was the art about my family because I had to colour in all the pictures and try to draw it nicely. The thing I found the most easiest was the buddy reading with Room 3. It was also fun. Next term I would like to compete in the inter school soccer.

When I was young. By Abdurrahman
Thud! I hit my head on the floor hard. I was on the trampoline and my brother pushed me... hard. It was a cool Saturday morning. It was a nice summer morning and I was thinking a few minutes ago that it would be a great day but I was wrong... really bad. I was playing outside with my brothers. They were both playing Soccer but I felt to tired to play. My brothers had woke me up when they were running around the house running, screaming and fighting. So I took them to play outside. What a mistake... a big mistake. I was 10 years old at that time. Back then I loved playing outside. The things I played mostly played were Soccer and on the trampoline. I would play lots of things on it. Even Soccer.
Anyway when I hit the hard dirt I started groaning in pain. To make matters worse I hid the place where the dirt was all mounted together because my Dad was dug at that exact place. I got up and feet my head. It had a lump on it. I turn around frustrated and angry. “ Why did you push me off?” I ask him. With an even angrier face he replies “It’s Mum’s fault because she doesn’t let me play XBOX”. When he says this I think ‘Typical, This is what always happens when someone does something mean or bad to him he takes out his anger on someone else’. The thought actually made me laugh.
“It’s not funny”. He says when I tell my mum what happened. “I know it’s really funny” She says. I groan. I hate it when Mum says that it’s really annoying. She says that or ‘I know it’s hilarious’. Anyway she made him say sorry. My brother was still really angry so he started chasing me. It was so funny. His shouting gibberish words that I couldn’t understand. He would always do this. I found it amusing yet scary because he would always go overboard by always picking up something and throwing it at me.
Next time I will always watch out for my brother. He causes an awful amount of trouble. Luckily enough my brothers always fight so watching out for myself might just enough be easy. Even if he gets me I can always fight back. So either way the odds are in my favour.
